This session will discuss the technologies that are the foundation of PMC-Sierra’s EPON, GPON and 10G EPON solutions for the China market, with a focus on the use of GPON in Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) and business applications where high availability, throughput and synchronization are needed.

Amir Sheffer先生是PMC-Sierra公司FTTH事业部GPON产品线经理，主要负责包括GPON及XG-PON在内的FTTH产品线市场推广。Amir 先生于2006年随着Passave公司被并购而加入PMC。在加入Passave公司前，他曾在德州仪器（Texas Instruments）公司有线（Cable）及无线局域网（WLAN）事业部担任多个市场及工程职务。Amir先生拥有超过13年的接入领域的经验，参加了多个国际标准组织，曾参与多项系统设计与开发。Amir先生在以色列特拉维夫大学（Tel Aviv University）获得电子工程学士学位。

Amir Sheffer is the Product Line Manager for GPON in the FTTH Division of PMC. He is responsible for the marketing of the FTTH product line that includes GPON and XG- PON. Amir joined PMC as part of the Passave acquisition in 2006. Previously, Amir held various marketing and engineering positions in Texas Instruments’ Cable and WLAN business units. Amir brings with him more than 13 years experience in the access area including participation in international standardization groups, system engineering and development. Amir holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering for the Tel Aviv University, Israel.
